The world's most popular poker variant — and Malaysia's favourite. Each player receives 2 hole cards and shares 5 community cards. Easy to learn, but a lifetime to master.
2 Hole Cards 5 Community Cards Beginner FriendlyEven more exciting than Texas Hold'em! Players receive 4 hole cards but must use exactly 2 of them. This leads to stronger hands and bigger pots.
4 Hole Cards Big Pot Advanced LevelPlayed with a 36-card deck (twos through fives removed). The game moves faster and the hand rankings shift slightly – Three of a Kind beats a Straight in this variant.

Poker is far more than a card game. It is a battle of psychology, mathematics, and discipline played out across the felt — or in the case of gempak999, right on your screen. Since the platform launched, Gempak999 has successfully built an active and growing Malaysian poker community, with players from Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, Sabah, and Sarawak joining the fierce competition every day.
What sets gempak999 apart from other platforms isn't just the number of tables or the size of tournament prize pools. It's the ecosystem that's been built — an intuitive interface, a fair and transparent competition system, responsive customer support in Bahasa Malaysia, and payment methods that genuinely work for Malaysian players. No worries about slow deposits or withdrawal headaches — at gempak999, everything runs smoothly.
If you're looking to try poker for the very first time, Texas Hold'em is the perfect place to start. The rules are straightforward enough to pick up quickly, yet the game holds a strategic depth that can take years to master. That's what sets poker apart from most other casino games – you're competing against real people, not just a computer system.
At Gempak999, Texas Hold'em tables are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Stakes start as low as RM 0.50/RM 1.00 for newer players still finding their feet, all the way up to high-roller tables with much higher limits for experienced players looking for more intense action. You can choose a 6-max table for a more aggressive game, or a 9-handed table for a slower, more conservative pace.
Once they've got a handle on Texas Hold'em, many gempak999 players move on to Omaha Hi as their next challenge. With four hole cards instead of two, Omaha produces significantly stronger hands on average — which means you'll see more nail-biting showdowns and bigger pots. One key Omaha rule that new players often overlook: you must use exactly 2 cards from your hand and exactly 3 cards from the board. This is different from Hold'em, where you can use any combination.
🎯 Quick Strategy: In Omaha, do not be fooled by hands that look strong but cannot make the nut — the best possible hand on that board. Successful gempak999 Omaha players always ask themselves what the nut hand is on every street.
Gempak999 supports all major Malaysian payment methods without any hassle. You can deposit directly into your poker account using Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, FPX (Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks), GrabPay, Boost, or ShopeePay. All of these methods process deposits within minutes, so you won't be waiting long before you're seated at your favourite table.
For withdrawals, gempak999 offers one of the smoothest processes in the industry. Your winnings are credited directly to your preferred payment method in no time. There are no hidden fees on your first daily withdrawal, and all amounts are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) — no complicated currency conversions.
For players seeking a more authentic experience, the Live Poker section at Gempak999 brings you as close to sitting at a real casino table as possible, without leaving home. Professionally trained dealers run the game live via high-quality video streaming, while you interact through an intuitive interface.
Live Poker at Gempak999 runs 24 hours a day, non-stop – meaning you can join a table at 3 AM after a late shift or at noon during your lunch break. This is one of the biggest advantages of an online platform over a physical casino: it's always open, no matter the day or time.
